An art teacher told me, “Avoid watercolor! It's frustrating and you can't control it.” So I did. I had no desire to learn watercolor, until I met an artist who said, “If you can Master watercolor you can Master anything.” If watercolor can improve my skills as an artist across many mediums, then challenge accepted!

The idea, “If you can Master watercolor, you can Master anything,” told me watercolor would be challenging. So when my paintings didn't turn out the way I wanted, I wasn't surprised. I learned from them and kept pushing. In the process of learning how watercolor works, I learned to love it. Watercolor is so easy to clean up, you can take them anywhere you are inspired to paint, and some watercolor techniques almost make the painting for you. I share those techniques on my YouTube channel.
